When Gina Rivera and I decided to work together, I picked out a specific look for her that I believed would be fun and beautiful. As you can see from the photos she looks amazing in suspenders, bow tie, and bowler hat.
As a model, Gina is very versatile (which is apparent by seeing her portfolio) but she had not modeled this style before. To compliment her look we shot her photographs at a historic courthouse near Atlanta. For the photo above, I took an extremely low angle to capture her against the clock tower.
It was late in the day and the setting sun provided us with rays from the legendary “golden hour” of portrait photography, enhancing the gold tint and soft lighting that you can see in the picture above.
Hope you readers enjoy these photos as much as I do–would love to hear comments on favorites.
Atlanta should become known for having a great modeling scene. I had another good photo shoot, this time with a nice local model, the beautiful Tayla Morris. Even though it had rained for several hours and the temperature was beginning to drop, soon to land in the 20’s, she showed up ready to work our outdoor session.
She posed for my camera like a champ, never complaining about the cold, gusty wind. Only after I asked her did she admit to being cold. But we still managed to get photos like this:
Photographers appreciate it when models give their best even when conditions aren’t so good. Towards the end of the photo shoot Tayla braved a wardrobe change, putting on a short sleeve shirt for some final shots, including this amazing one:
